HORSEBACK RIDDING “EL ALTAR”

We leave Riobamba, with our vehicle we head to the hacienda Releche (3000mts) (9842ft), where we begin our journey of about 4 to 5 hours on horseback to the Valley of Collanes. During the tour, we climb a height of 1000 meters, crossing valleys, waterfalls, all with beautiful views and elevations like Cotopaxi, Chimborazo, Cubillines, and Tungurahua.

We arrive at the second refuge, from this point we begin a walk of 2 hours to reach the 4050 mts (13283ft), where is localted the “Laguna Amarilla”, base of the volcano Altar, where you can appreciate this beautiful mountain and its various peaks, which make the most beautiful in the country. Box Lunch. Return to the Valley of Collanes to take our horses and go down to Releche hacienda, where we pick up our vehicle to return to Riobamba.
